What is the self service solution?

The Intellident self-service solution gives users the ability to issue, renew and return items, check account status and even pay fees all without the need to interact directly with a member of staff. The solution uses Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) technology as a means of allowing customers to 'self-serve'. Simply by placing an item (or multiple items) on a self-service desk, in any orientation, allows the RFID label to be read without the need to open the cover.

- Re-deployment of staff from traditional, repetitive tasks providing a customer focussed service

Library Management System Connection
All Intellident self-service solutions connect to existing Library Management Systems (LMS) using industry standard SIP2 protocol. By configuring the Intellident Liber8 self-service software, which is designed in-house, to suit the individual requirements of the library, there are little alterations required to the LMS.
