ISO-28560 Standards
The BIC/CILIP RFID in libraries have now, in principle, agreed to adopt the flexible ISO-28560 model for the UK market. Essentially, this gives all libraries the ablity to chose from a 3-part model within the standard, with the most basic information being the simple barcode ID.
Our commitment
Being members of the BIC/CILIP RFID in libraries panel we totally support the drive towards a single standard. All of our
current customers have open-standard technology deployed, which can be upgraded without any input required to
ISO-28560 if required.
What about ISO-15693?
ISO-15693 is the standard used by tags and hardware to communicate and is different to ISO-28560, which is concerned
with data format on the tag. We support both of these standards, which allows for 100% compatibility with other
open-standard systems.
Encryption
Intellident do not employ any encryption or password protection to our tag data of any sort, making ours compatible with
any other open-standard systems on the market.
